Travel Logistics

No — flights are not included in any package. You'll book your own round-trip flights to Kotoka International Airport (airport code: ACC) in Accra, Ghana. Airport ground transportation to and from the host hotel is included in the lodging packages.
-
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. US citizens currently require a visa to enter Ghana. Visa assistance is included with all packages — the team will guide you through the process. We recommend starting your visa application at least 6–8 weeks before departure.
-
Yellow Fever is the only required vaccine; unless you have a medical exemption. Vaccine fees are not included in the package — you'll arrange these on your own. The CDC recommends several other vaccines for travel to Ghana, including Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, and malaria prevention. Consult your doctor or a travel health clinic at least 4–6 weeks before your trip.
-
Travel insurance is not included in the package and is not required; but it is strongly recommended. It can cover trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost luggage, and other unexpected situations. We can recommend a few if you would like to purchase.
